What is Selsal?

Selsal is a name deeply rooted in my heritage and culture. It comes from the Buddhas of Bamiyan in Afghanistan— ancient symbols of peace, resilience, and spirituality. By naming my brand Selsal, I honor my roots and carry forward the spirit of strength and beauty that these statues represent.

Who Am I?

As a little girl, I fell in love with fashion. I was drawn to the colors, textures, and creativity it allowed me to express. I dreamed of one day creating my own designs and sharing them with the world.

Selsal is my way of redefining fashion. Every piece I design is meant to make you feel confident in your own skin, proud of who you are, and empowered to take on the world. I want my dresses to feel like a superhero’s outfit— something that inspires you to be bold, authentic, and unapologetically yourself.

But as I grew older, I started to see the fashion industry differently. I realized how much harm it causes to the environment and how many people are exploited in the process. I knew I couldn’t just create beautiful clothes—I had to do it responsibly. That’s how Selsal was born.

Every piece I create is made with recycled fabrics and eco-friendly materials because I believe fashion can respect both people and the planet.
